What does it take to TeachOnline@UW?

Reflections from Learning Community Participants

Presenters: TeachOnline@UW Learning Community Participants and Planning Committee

Are you interested in online teaching and learning? Join us for appetizers and refreshments at this special post-symposium session! Have you wondered…. Can active learning really take place online and how does it work? What types of learning activities, interactions, and tools can be used online? Does it require less effort, or is it more work to plan and teach an online course? What are the new roles instructors need to manage to teach online courses? What are some of the challenges in teaching online?

Get these answers and more during a special event sponsored by TeachOnline@UW, an experiential learning community where participants explore research-based best practices for online course design and facilitation. Participants from this year-long program will bust common myths and share important reflections on designing and teaching quality online courses.

So we can plan food, please sign up below. We hope you can join us on May 21!
